{ July 13 Hail, Concerts and Rides }

I’ve been seeing  live shows recently because of the Calgary Stampede.  First it hailed, then a terrible band came up, then the sun and jumping/dancing. YAAAH!

Show after show does get exhausting though. The loud music, smoke, thousands..no..MILLIONS of people, I’m not used to that. I mean I am – but not every day! You know?

But I’m having fun. Another show tomorrow! Then maybe motocross, another show on the 16th with One Republic and then I don’t know…probably one last final PARTAY over at the place with random blaring country songs before the Stampede is over.

One thing for sure though, LOUD MUSIC IS AWESOME. But draining. BUT AWESOME. Peace out! Oh and btw I got an 80%+ on my uni calculus, I feel so bad ass! I am the real Slim Shady…but I won’t stand up!

I went to the Rihanna show yesterday and had some crazy adventures with my best friend. First we got there too early because we thought that the floor would be a mosh pit. As a result we were followed around by a random guy who seemed really chatty but intimidating.

As we were about to go inside, first in line of hundreds and hundreds of people, the guy scanned our tickets and said that they were INVALID. In the end it ended up being their glitch! We got scanned through, waited to get to the floor because sound checks were still going on and then realized that we had reserved seating right by the stage runway. All along we had thought that we would be in a mosh pit but instead there was two sets of security to get to the floor and then our own section’s runway security to keep anyone from coming in. I got pictures!

First up was Travie McCoy.  ”I wanna be a billionaire sooo freakin bad!”

Next, Ke$ha!

She looked the same as she does on tv, I was surprised! Her show was full of crazy fake heads, glitter and crazy antics! She was pretty nuts! Tick Tok was fun!

At about 9 ish, Rihanna came on stage since they were running late.

..with the dancers..

And we were very close to her!

She then came up to our side of the stage and got so close that I could see inside her eyes, lmfao! She looked right at us. She was about a foot away, there’s no zoom on this.

She’s pretty small in person with a very tiny but pretty face :) Her stage was well done too.

Please don’t stop the music was by far the best song. Neon colors, strobe lights, chaos, energetic dancers, fun!

ROCKSTAR was also an amazing song live! SO loud your whole body shook. Amazing! My friend took the best pictures!

Her last outfit was pretty crazy too! I like lights on clothes.

The crowd was absolutely WILD by the time she finished. Lots of cameras, screaming, dancing, sweating…my ears were ringing until 3am. She finished at about 11:30 or so. Probably sang every song she had too, it was a great show! Definitely check it out if you have been thinking about it!

And the closing video my friend took :)

It’s almost time to get weird! Concert(s) are so soon and I’m so ready. LOTS of live music to come, dude I am so so ready!!

One downer is that school has really done my health in. I don’t know about you guys, but when I’m on a roll I barely remember what I look like because I just try to get everything done. In the end I come out a shell of what I used to be like. I get all pale, frail and gross. I am now on a mission to go to the gym early, eat fruit, be out in the sun, tan and just be healthy! That’s the plan!

Now that I’m done gymming, it’s time to go to work (seriously, gag me) but tomorrow will hopefully be better and the 6th will FOR SURE be better! If you are planning on getting toned for the summer, here are some good songs to get you going =)

{ June 29 What day is it? }

Sleep deprivation, stress and being a dizzy brained girl who’s world never quite stops spinning make for a combination that causes me to forget what day it is!

Thankfully I finished my last exam today. (CAN I GET A HEEEELL YEAH?!)

I still don’t know how to feel. I never thought that I would be able to do university calculus without a calculator. I can’t add, subtracting is time consuming and if you ask me to divide something using the long division…I will laugh and go get a coffee instead. Still, I somehow managed to finish the 3 hour exam and come out mostly in one piece. I don’t know how I got through it, but sometimes the thing that feels impossible becomes so familiar that it’s not scary anymore. You just do it. That’s the most important thing. You get it done and move on. I don’t even have anything inspirational to really say. All I know is that if you want something and are willing to do what it takes to get it (I’m talking HARD WORK) then it will totally come to you.  It’s also a nice feeling to finally get there…and then it pushes you to go even farther and to realize that you have only just started.

Tomorrow I am packing for a long road trip. A 6am arrival time will have me beat. Then I’m back on the 3rd for work and then off to KESHA AND RIHANNA on the 6th. I am SO excited for that show! I got some crazy earrings with feathers like the ones Kesha wears and I need a fun enough event to wear them to! This will be it!

Sometime around the 12th there will be some bands at the Calgary Stampede that I’ll likely go see. Faber Drive, Stereos, Mariana’s Trench – yup cheesy rock is my guilty pleasure! I love the light alternative rock kind of stuff so it will be fun. If you live in Calgary you should go check it out too!

That’s pretty much what’s up. After that I’ll get working on the site with a clear mind. Who knows what I’ll think of after the chaos is done! Chaos is fun though, so I’m sure it will be something cool =)
